Lahore Development Authority has established an ‘Overseas Pakistani Desk’ as part of its one window cell to facilitate expatriates. This desk will efficiently work on applications and complaints. Secretary LDA and other sponsors will work under the direct supervision of Sardar Muhammad Akbar Nakai.

Samia Saleem Additional Director, Lahore Development Authority has handed over the charge of overseas Pakistani Facilitation Desk to For Muhammad Junaid, Deputy Director of Land Development.

Overseas Pakistanis had been facing problems while trying to invest in Real Estate in Pakistan due to the lack of a streamlines processes and guidance. Keeping in view the intensity of the problem, Lahore Development Authority (LDA) Director General (DG) Ahmad Aziz Tarar had announced that the authority will establish an ‘Overseas Pakistani Desk’ as part of its one window cell to facilitate expatriates. This announcement was made back in October.

He stated that quick settlement of overseas Pakistanis’ concerns is a top priority and that all methods and resources would be employed to eliminate their issues.

Furthermore, he instructed the authorities to settle the issues of the overseas Pakistanis as soon as possible. The vice chairman of POPC said that he will visit the LDA office to inaugurate the Overseas Pakistani Desk.

 Now that the new development is complete, overseas Pakistanis will be able to file complaints with the desk, and special LDA teams will be assigned the duty of resolving the complaint within a certain time and retrieving lands from illegal occupation.
